CERE COMPLETES FEATURED PACKED PRIVATE BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK GRANT TO WEB3 FOUNDATION
--
Cere Network, the first Decentralized Data Cloud platform, has completed the Web3 Foundation grant which allows any business or developer to launch an instant Substrate blockchain network for seamless application integration. Cere Network uses this grant as an opportunity to empower the rest of the Polkadot/Substrate community by leveraging the innovative solutions used for their Fortune 1000 client integrations.
Cere Network (Cere), the first Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) platform built on Polkadot, and Web3 Foundation, a leading decentralized technology accelerator, today announced the completion of all the milestones for the Web3 Foundation grant awarded to Cere Network. The grant was awarded based on Cere’s initiative to make Substrate-based private or permissioned networks easy to use, as well as establishing a new smart contract standard that can be used to transfer brand or application assets to individual user ledgers. Web3 Foundation and Parity Technologies are the entities behind the Polkadot project which has introduced a distributed ledger technology (DLT) focused on scalability and interoperability between blockchains.
Any network built from or derived from this project will also be able to use derivative assets to represent real-world value transfers on-chain (e.g. micropayments, discount vouchers, loyalty points, and more), as well as being able to programmatically issue these assets between user and application wallets — displayed below.
“We’re honored to be chosen for this grant from Web3 Foundation, as we believe in building products that free companies from centralized control,” said Fred Jin, CEO of Cere Network. “Building on Polkadot means a quicker and more seamless advancement of Data Cloud tools for clients, many of whom are currently stuck behind the walled gardens of Amazon, Google, and Salesforce.”
Cere’s Substrate-based private networks will feature:
- A set of turn-key substrate-based packaging and tools that simplify the customization, configuration, testing, and deployment of such a blockchain network.
- Pre-built solutions to create/assign/transfer derivative assets in business to consumer use cases.
- Pre-configured and optimized for feeless transactions and performance.
- Creation of custom derivative assets and automate the transfer to/from user wallets to app wallets by any/app brand.
- Optimization of batch user onboarding and transaction processing for higher throughput situations needed for consumer apps/sites.
The Substrate-based private network grant is the first out of two Web3 grant submissions.
ABOUT CERE NETWORK
Cere Network is the first Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) platform in alignment with Polkadot, optimized for service data integration and data collaboration. While most enterprise blockchains are simply distributed ledgers, the Cere DDC is built from the ground up to power the new generation of first-party customer data ecosystems. Harnessing similar goals to cloud platforms like Snowflake, Cere’s DDC platform is delivering on a new decentralized level of data privacy, data agility, and data interoperability.
Cere Network is founded by former executives from Amazon, Twitch, D-Link, and Bebo. Cere is backed by Binance Labs, Arrington XRP Capital, and Neo Global Capital, amongst others. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York and Berlin.
